Our mission at Janesville Pride is to provide a
foundation of support to the LGBTQIA+ community
and their allies of Janesville, WI, and the greater
Rock County area through advocacy, education,
and support services to build and maintain a more
affirming, equitable, and empowering community.

We are bringing together counselors, homelessness resources,
youth outreach, queer youth abandonment resources, queer
affirming and accepting religious organizations and so much more.

Our hope is to inspire our city of Janesville and empower our community to spark change.

CHALLENGE ACCEPTED
It started with a simple question on the Janesville
Community Facebook Page in the middle of Pride
month. "Does anyone know of any pride events
going on in Janesville?" When met with the
challenge of "If you want it to happen, you should
plan it.", Ali Larson plunged into a venture to bring
Pride to her city. What started as a Facebook group
looking to plan an event for Pride quickly bloomed into a
movement to support LGBTQ+ Janesville residents in a city hungry for community.
In 7 days a community of nearly 2,000 people came behind us, an incredible team of talented and passionate people came together to form our leadership team, our fundraisers sky rocketed, and we have entered into a life changing partnership with Project 16:49.
Every day even more organizations come along side us to help build a better Janesville. Janesville Pride continues to grow and serve the needs of our community. We are dedicated to uplifting, supporting, and advocating for our Janesville WI LGBTQ+ community.
